Holder Rewards

You earn more here — because the pool holds.

Keryx pays a bigger share of every block to miners whose pool holds a large stake instead of dumping it. suprnova holds one of the largest KRX stakes on the network — so more of every block reaches you, and less is burned.

New to mining? The one number that decides your pay

When your rig finds a block, Keryx doesn't automatically hand you all of it. How much you actually keep comes down to one thing — how much your wallet already holds versus how much it mines. Hold little, keep little; hold a lot, keep all of it. It's the same network rule for everyone, whether you mine solo or in a pool — and it's why where you start matters.

What the "holder reward" is

Keryx is built to reward holding, not dumping. The network looks at how much a mining wallet holds compared to how much it produces, and pays out a higher share of every block reward the more it holds. A wallet that dumps everything keeps just 50% of the miner reward — the rest is burned by the network. A wallet that holds around three months (~90 days) of production keeps the full 100%.

On a pool, it's the pool's wallet that's measured — and every miner shares the result. Because we hold a large stake, the network keeps a high share of every block we find, and that larger reward is distributed to all of you. You don't have to hold anything yourself: the pool does the holding, you get the benefit automatically in every payout.

What this means for you
  • More of every block reaches miners here than at a pool that sells its rewards — see the live keeper-rate above.
  • You do nothing extra for it. It's already priced into every payout you receive.
  • Your own levers stay the same: more hashrate, more uptime, and a heavier AI model earn you a bigger slice.
The reward ladder

How much of each block's miner reward the network keeps (vs burns), by how many days of production the pool holds.

Pool holds (vs 1 day of production) Miners keep Burned
Less than 3 days (a dumper) 50% 50%
≥ 3 days 55% 45%
≥ 1 week 60% 40%
≥ 15 days 65% 35%
≥ 1 month 70% 30%
≥ 45 days 75% 25%
≥ 2 months 80% 20%
≥ 75 days 90% 10%
≥ 3 months (90 days) 100% 0%

Your current pool tier is highlighted live in the badge above. Whatever the network doesn't keep is burned — it isn't paid to anyone — which is why a holding pool pays more than a dumping one.

Solo mining from zero: the reserve you'll need

Start solo with an empty wallet and you begin at the very bottom of the ladder: you keep just 50% of every block you find, and the network burns the other 50% — not because anything is wrong, simply because you hold nothing yet.

To climb, your wallet has to hold a multiple of what it mines each day: 3 days held → 55%, 1 week → 60%, 15 days → 65%, 1 month → 70%, and about 90 days (~3 months) of production → the full 100%. A brand-new solo wallet has none of that, so the first weeks mine at a discount while the reserve builds — or you fund the reserve up front (for example, buy KRX on an exchange) and skip the ramp entirely.

Quick example: a rig producing ~1,000 KRX/day of block reward needs to hold ~90,000 KRX to keep 100%. With an empty wallet it keeps just 500 KRX and burns 500 of that first 1,000 — until the reserve grows. There's nothing unfair here: it's the network rewarding holders over sellers, and it applies to the pool exactly the same way.

Solo — keep 100%, pay no fee

Keryx was designed for home solo miners, and our miner supports it out of the box: keryx-miner-supr -s <your-node>, no bridge needed. If you can fund the reserve — build it over time or hold KRX up front — solo is excellent: no pool fee, nothing shared, the whole block is yours at the top tier. How to solo properly →

Pool — the high tier from your first share

Join suprnova and you inherit the pool's large stake instantly — every share is paid at the pool's live keeper-rate (~60% now, versus the 50% a fresh solo wallet starts at), with no reserve to fund and no ramp-up. You trade a small 1% fee for skipping tens of thousands of KRX in reserve capital.

Rule of thumb: if you can afford the reserve (or already hold KRX), solo mining is superb — go for it. If you'd rather not lock up ~90 days (3 months) of production up front, the pool gives you the high tier from day one.

Help the pool climb to 100% — everyone earns more

The higher the pool's stake, the higher the tier, and the more of every block the whole pool keeps. You can help the pool climb — and lift everyone's payouts, including your own — simply by leaving your balance on the pool: raise your minimum payout so your earned coins accumulate here instead of being sent out immediately. Every coin left on the pool adds to the stake that unlocks the next tier.

Straight talk: this is a shared benefit — a higher tier lifts the reward for all miners by their share of the work, not a personal bonus paid back only to you. Your balance stays fully yours and is paid out whenever you ask (or when it crosses your limit). Prefer frequent payouts? That's completely fine — keep your limit where it is; you still earn the full pool tier on every share.

Don't take our word for it — read the code

Every number on this page is set by Keryx consensus, not by the pool — the pool cannot change any of it. It's all in the open-source node, so verify it yourself:

  • The 9-tier ladder and thresholds (H4) — RATIO_REWARD_BPS_V2 = [5000, 5500, 6000, 6500, 7000, 7500, 8000, 9000, 10000] (= 50/55/60/65/70/75/80/90/100%) and RATIO_REWARD_THRESHOLDS_V2 = [0, 3, 7, 15, 30, 45, 60, 75, 90] — in consensus/core/src/config/params.rs.
  • The 24-hour production window — RATIO_REWARD_WINDOW = 864_000 — and the tier function ratio_reward_bps(balance, production), same file.
  • How each wallet's balance and production are measured, including the one-block production floor that stops an empty wallet claiming the top tier — consensus/src/pipeline/virtual_processor/utxo_validation.rs.
  • Run your own node with KERYX_RATIO_DEBUG=1 and it logs your live balance, production and tier for every block, straight from consensus.
